Beginner Pilates Mat Class with Laura
*no pilates experience required

Pilates is a group of exercises that are designed to strengthen your muscles while increasing flexibility without having to perform multiple repetitions due to the execution of a precision of the movement.

The Beginner Pilates group class is for those who are new to pilates and are looking to improve posture and increase core strength in a 60-minute group setting.  The class will include a variety of precise exercises to tone, strengthen, and sculpt the entire body.  The concentration of the breath with the movements will assist in increasing the cardio-vascular capacity as well. 

This class will teach the essential techniques to create a strong foundation for continued work and growth as a student of Pilates.  Breathing, abdominal engagement, and spine position will be incorporated in all of the classes.
 

Saturdays, starting Sept 13th from 11:15-12:15

                Learn the basics of Pilates in a personal, non-intimidating environment at Balance for Life Fitness!
         Come to class on Fridays over your lunch hour - you'll get personal attention as class is limited to 5 people. 
Your instructor will teach you the fundamentals of Pilates and guide you through exercises
to increase your abdominal strength, spinal health, and body awareness. 
You'll also get 'homework' exercises to help you gain strength and get the most out of class.
 
Class size is limited, so sign up early to reserve your place.  See you at class!

What does this program include?
-Weekly 1-on-1 one hour personal training session with a personal trainer (scheduled at your convenience)
-Weekly group workouts with the same group  (Wed at 7:30 pm or Sat at 9 am)
-Weekly seminars-focusing on nutrition, well coaching, motivation, and wellness visions, etc
(Thursdays 6:30-8:30 pm for 1st 6 weeks and 7:30-8:30 pm for last 6 weeks*See calendar for specifics)

Program starts the week of Sept 8th and runs through the week of Dec 1st

Sept 11th is the starting date for the program
