It really is true: "You are what you eat!"

Knowing how to fuel your body can be confusing and frustrating.  It can be especially difficult to know what to eat as we get older and deal potentially with chronic disease and slowing metabolism. Nutrition coaching at Balance for Life will help you understand the fundamentals of healthy eating and optimal nutrition, without getting bogged down in fad diets or complicated food plans.

I am a wellness coach. After 15 years of working in the fitness industry, I realized that exercise is only half of the wellness equation. I went back to school to obtain my B.S. in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota, so that I could better guide my clients toward a more balanced and healthy lifestyle. Coursework and internships in dietetics helped me understand how to apply nutritional science to my clients' everyday lives. 15 more years of coaching gave me experience and perspective.

Lastly, raising three healthy children to have fantastically healthy eating habits honed my patience and flexibility. My nutrition classes and one-on-one coaching will help you, once and for all, change the way you view food in relationship to your body and health. Your family and loved ones will benefit as well as you learn to provide them with tasty and healthy food choices.

My skills allow me to provide a holistic approach to wellness that recognizes the necessary interaction between exercise and healthy eating. From the nutrition novice to the seasoned label-reader, everyone can benefit from my services at Balance for Life.
